Heart not heavy but full of life,
Embrace day's light despite the strife,
To conquer and struggle the battles plenty,
Vanquish the boredom foe if any.

Warm Dawn
Bright the day, it's dawn is breaking,
A flutter of the heart for taking,
How it lifts and warms my very soul,
Completes the heart with joy console.
Warmth I feel upon my face,
A kiss of kindness, loving grace,
Fill my senses, spring it brings,
Giving hope, upon my breast it clings.
A flutter of the heart for taking,
How it lifts and warms my very soul,
Completes the heart with joy console.
Warmth I feel upon my face,
A kiss of kindness, loving grace,
Fill my senses, spring it brings,
Giving hope, upon my breast it clings.
What is Life?
What is life that we should live it?
Purpose o'er random lonely existence?
Life before the womb we fit,
And prevail in this mere mortal resistance?
A chance to prove our will submit,
Endure the trials and go the distance,
And if by grace His joy permit,
Enfold in love by His insistence.
Our faults o'er look in needy spirit,
Through only His divine assistance,
What stirs the heart we can't omit,
Love eternal, our joyous subsistence.
Purpose o'er random lonely existence?
Life before the womb we fit,
And prevail in this mere mortal resistance?
A chance to prove our will submit,
Endure the trials and go the distance,
And if by grace His joy permit,

Sleepless Night
Early to bed in compliant rest,
With sleep descending barely true,
Shrill alarm my patience test,
Unknown caller was the first clue.
Troubleshoot a failure there,
More than experience possess,
Escalate and wake others fair,
And lacking knowledge confess.
Back to sleep my weary head,
In hopes of gaining cycles,
Until alarm my soul that's dead,
Exhaustion's downward spiral.
Planned work and waiting too,
The third hour spent awake,
Home silent still and rest forsue,
Their sleep continuous, no break.
Down to rest, mind spinning now,
Less time to rest than given,
Request again, I shouldn't allow,
Sleepless night on call's not livin'.
Family arises, it's spiritual time,
Interrupted again by the needy,
Quick to pillow on turn of dime,
Yearning for sleep I feel so greedy.
Walking dead at work, little rest,
My eyes to barely peel,
It's my job, my patience to test,
A part of my signed deal.
